FORMER cat coordinator for a rescue in Lorain county. Need advice, help, etc. Disappointed that there is little action on the message board.
RJ (in picture), Merlin, Jr, Twinks, Little One and Tiffany. One dog too, from the town's unknown dog shelter.
"Erie Shores has been around for over 25 years. I joined it last fall after defecting from OASIS due to all the problems at that little-known dog shelter in Oberlin. I stopped being the so-called "feline foster coordinator" in Aug. Now I freelance."
Because anyone who has anything to do with any of the local rescues can clearly see there is a big cat problem-there are too many without homes, too many being born, too many who are unadoptable, too many that get forgotten about in a large rescue. These rescues need new ideas in solving their cat problems and it can only come about with more volunteers. I am rating this group "Good" because not enough know about it and therefore the forum can go for a long time without any comments.

"So how did this go? Did you get any rescues interested in having the mobile unit come to them?"
Starving stray cat needs loving home before winter!
"What happened with this cat? I emailed you but got no answer."
Still waiting for some feedback on these problems......
"Finally, feedback! I have heard the foreclosure issue as being a large part of the problem. But why is there a big reluctance to foster? What can rescues do to encourage it? Anybody?..."

"I really would like some opinions as to why the issue of so many kittens needing help right now is occurring...."
